<br />RELATED CITY POLICIES <br />The applicable adopted plans for the subject property are the Metro Plan and the Willakenzie Area Plan <br />(WAP). However, as this item is a request to initiate a Metro Plan amendment and concurrent <br />amendment to the WAP, and not to consider the merits of the proposal, any relevant policy analysis will <br />be provided in conjunction to the public review process, which will include a public hearing before the <br />City Council. <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL OPTIONS <br /> <br />The City Council may consider the following options: <br /> <br />1.Initiate the Metro Plan amendment and concurrent amendment to the WAP <br /> <br />2.Decline to initiate the Metro Plan and concurrent WAP amendments <br /> <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER’S RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Option 1: The City Manager recommends the City Council initiate a Metro Plan amendment and <br />concurrent amendment to the WAP to return the Metro Plan designation of the subject property to Low <br />Density Residential from Parks and Open Space, making the Metro Plan (and WAP) and City zoning <br />consistent with one another. If the council adopts this recommendation, the manager will make this task <br />one of the high priority tasks for the Planning Division. <br /> <br /> <br />SUGGESTED MOTION <br /> <br />Move to initiate an amendment of the Metro Plan and concurrent amendment to the WAP to re- <br />designate the subject property from Parks and Open Space to Low Density Residential.
