is~z~ <br />shall consist of three members: an electrical contractor; an <br />electrical engineer; and a journeyman electrician who shall be <br />nominated by the mayor and appointed by the council. The elec~ <br />trical inspector shall be an ex officio member and shall act as <br />secretary to the board. <br />~~ ~. Terms and removal of me~bers . The members of the <br />board shall hold off~.ce during a three--year period following <br />their appointment or until a~successor has been appointed. Cne <br />member shall be appointed each year. Upon expiration of a term <br />of any member, he or she may be reappointed to serve additional <br />terms. The council shall have the power to remove any member of <br />the board at any time for malfeasance in of f ice, incapacity or <br />neglect of duty. <br />Section l8. Section 8.574 of the Eugene Code, 1971 is amended <br />to read and provide: <br />8.574 Uniform Plumbin Code - Eoard o~ Plumber E~arniners. <br />The board of plumber exa~iners shall be under the de- <br />partment having jurisdiction provided for by law and unless <br />otherwise provided for shall consist of five ~ 5 ~ members : two <br />~2 3 qualified plumbing contractors, two ~2 } qualified j ourney- <br />men plumbers and one ~1~ member from the public at large.. Cne <br />~1~ member of the department shall act as secretary and serve <br />as an ex-officio member. Members of the board shall be <br />nominated by the Mayor and appointed by the council. The members <br />of the board shall serve for one year, or until their successors <br />have been appointed. <br />Section l9. Section 8,8Q1 of the Eugene Code, ~.9?1 ~is amended <br />to read and provide: <br />8. S41 Si n Code ~oa~rd~ ~~f~ ~Appeal~s ~ Creation. There is hereby <br />created a board to be mown as the sign code board of <br />appeals, hereinafter referred to as the "board". <br />~a} Members of the board shall be nominated by <br />the mayor and appointed by the council. The board shall <br />consist of five members representing the .interests of <br />the city as a whole, and having nonfinancial interest <br />in the sign industry, and one member from the sign in- <br />dustry who shall ha~re no vote. No member of the board <br />shall act in any case in which he is personally inter- <br />ested ~ The building of f ici,al shall be an ex officio <br />member and shall act as secretary to the board.
