l8~5~2 <br />in a dangerous or unsafe condition, or to have <br />been installed without a permit, or not in <br />accordance w,~th the provisions of this code. He <br />shall thereupon attach a notice which states that <br />such electrical,nstal,lation has been disconnected <br />because of its hav.~ng been found unsafe to life or <br />property. It shall be unlawful for any person to <br />remove the notice of disconnection or to reconnect <br />the electrical %nstallation until a certificate of <br />occupancy has been issued or until the electrical <br />installation shall have been placed in a safe and <br />secure condition and approved by the inspector. <br />D. Temporary use of electrical current. <br />when an urgent necessity for the use of electrical <br />energy in an electrical installation is known to <br />exist, the electrical inspector may grant permis- <br />sion for the temporary use of electrical energy to <br />any electrical installation which is in such con- <br />dition~that electrical energy may safely be used <br />therein without danger to life ar property. Per- <br />mission may be obtained for the temporary use of <br />electrical energy during the construction or al- <br />teration of any building by making a prior written <br />request to the building official or his/her desig- <br />nee. The written request shall: <br />1. Indicate the .approximate length of <br />time for which electrical current is needed. <br />2. Include a statement that compli- <br />ance with section 305 ~f ~ subdiv~isi~on 3. E. <br />will be assured prior to occupancy of the <br />building, and <br />3. Be requested by the person respon- <br />sible for the electrical work and endorsed <br />by the person in charge of the property as <br />defined in section 5.001 of the Eugene Code, <br />1971. <br />E. Final inspection and approval of service. <br />1. The electrical contractor performing <br />an electrical installation shall notify the <br />electrical inspector of its completion and re~- <br />quest a final inspection before the electri- <br />cal installation is put into permanent service <br />and prior to occupancy of the building in <br />accordance with section 308 of this code. <br />Should the electrical installation be dis-~ <br />approved, the building shall not be occupied <br />and the electrical inspector may order the <br />electrical service disconnected in accordance <br />with sect.%on 305 ~.,~~_ subd,~vsion 3. C. <br />2. The electrical inspector shall, at <br />the time o~ final inspection or approval of <br />Ordinance - 16 <br />
