To <br />be made a~te~ all insulation and required vapor barriers <br />are in place but before any lath or gypsum board inter- <br />ior wall covering is applied. <br />Ex~CEpTToN : <br />1. Cei~.ing and floor insulation visible dur- <br />ing final inspection. <br />2. The buil.din~ official may allow the frame, <br />insulation, and vapor barrier inspections to be per- <br />~ormed simultaneously. <br />~12~, 'Subsection 3Q5 ~~~ ~- ~e aired Building Serva~ce <br />Equipment Inspections, is amended by adding subdivisions 3. <br />Electrical Ins ection, 4. Plumbin and Drainage Ins ection, and <br />5. Mechanical-Heatin -Gas Pi ing 2nspection, to provide: <br />3. Electrical inspection: <br />A. Inspections - new work. The electrical <br />inspector shall be notified. by the person doing the <br />work before any electrical installation is conceal- <br />ed, and for a final inspection upon completion of <br />the project or structure. The electrical inspector <br />shall inspect the same after receipt of notice and, <br />if the work conforms in all respects to the provi- <br />sions of Chapter 8 of the Eugene Code, 1971, shall <br />issue a notice of approval, No electrical wiring <br />shall be covered or concealed until the inspector <br />has given approval. Should the inspector find <br />that the installation is not in accordance with <br />the provisions of the electrical specialty code, <br />he/she shall give notice in writing to the person <br />engaged in the work. Within 10 days after notifi- <br />cation, or within such further reasonable time as <br />may upon request be prescribed, the electrical <br />installation shall be altered or removed as the <br />case may require, and .necessary changes shall. be <br />made sv that the installation shall fully comply <br />with the provisions of the electrical specialty <br />code. <br />B. Inspections - reinspection of existing <br />installations. The electrical inspector is hereby <br />empowered to reinspect all electrical installa- <br />tions coming within the scope of the electrical <br />specialty code. When any electrical installation <br />is found to be dangerous or unsafe, the person own- <br />ing, using or operating the same shall be notified <br />and shall make the necessary repairs or changes <br />required to place the electrical installation in <br />a safe cQndit.ion; such work to be completed within <br />such reasonab~,e time as may be prescribed. <br />c. Di.scontin~.ance of electric service, The <br />electrical inspector is hereby empowered to dis- <br />connect or order the discontinuance of electrical <br />service to any electrical installation found to be <br />ard~~inance - 15 <br />
