187't2 <br />~_c} Fees. The fees to be paid ~y the applicant <br />for th.e. i.nspo~ton fee and moving ~er~t fee as pro- <br />vided by sect..%on 314 ~a}_ and ~~} shall be established <br />by resolution of the council. These fees cover the <br />initial building evaluation and the use of city streets <br />only and are not to cover costs for other services such <br />as police or other escort services, posting of "No <br />Parking' signs , traffic re--routing, tree trimming, mov- <br />ing, lifting, relocating, or otherwise protecting city- <br />owned utilities, or for protecting, moving, or relocat- <br />ing privately owned vehicles or other private property. <br />Separate charges for such services shall be determined by <br />the affected department or agency and paid by the build- <br />ing mover. <br />~d~ Plan filed. Plans and specifications must <br />be filed with the building official as part of a build- <br />ing permit application before a moving permit will be <br />issued. Plans filed shall show the following: <br />1. Reconstruction ar alterations necessary <br />to comply with city law and the building official's <br />report specified in section 31~ fie} . <br />2. A plot plan of the site showing the pro- <br />posed location of all buildings and improvements, <br />including driveways, sidewalks, parking areas, and <br />landscaping. <br />3. The add~.tions, alterations, foundations, <br />and other improvements to be constructed or instal- <br />led at the new site. <br />t,~~ Issuance or denial of permits. The building <br />official shall investigate and examine the building pro- <br />posed to be moved, the streets and public and private <br />property over, along, or across which the building is <br />proposed to b~ moved, and the new location of the build- <br />ing for the purpose of determining if the building may <br />be moved with safety and made to comply with all the re- <br />quirements of the Eugene Code, 1971, and to determine <br />whether any streets or public or private property will <br />be injured or damaged by the proposed move. <br />If the building and the proposed move meet all the <br />terms, conditions, and restrictions as set forth in <br />Chapter 8 of the Eugene Code, 1971, and in the opinion <br />of the building official, the moving of the building <br />will do no damage to any streets or public or private <br />property along the route of the proposed building move, <br />then the building official shall issue the permit. The <br />building official shall reuse to issue a permit if he/ <br />she finds: <br />1~ That the. build%ng is too large to move <br />without endanger~;ng persons or property in the <br />city, or would damage property as set forth above. <br />2. That the~buildng is in such a state of <br />deterioration or disrepair, or is otherwise so <br />structurally unsafe, that it cannot be moved with- <br />Ordinance - 21 <br />
