Back-up 911 Center: The City has been looking such things as bond offcring documents, credit <br />for opportunities to locate a back-up 911 center rating update, bond counsel and financial advisor <br />that could serve in the event that the 2nd and fees, and so on. <br />Chambers primary location is unavailable fbi' any <br />reason. Other Government Agency Space: Other govern- <br /> ment agencies might be interested in an opportu- <br />Telecommunications/Technology Projects and nit3' to co-locate at the civic center site or to build <br />Equipment: New City technology related projects a joint use facility. <br />and purchases could be funded fi'om the City's <br />telecommunications ice funds. <br /> <br />Green Building Issues: The project could include <br />additional green building features designed to <br />reduce environmental impacts and decrease opera- <br />tions and maintenance costs in the futm'e. It could <br />also include certification under the US Green <br />Building Council's "LEED' program. Added <br />energy savings features could qualify for energy <br />tax credits. <br /> <br />Other Furnishings, Fixtures & Equipment: <br />Computers, furniture, and other kinds of furnish- <br />ings, fixtures and equipment that are not perma- <br />nently attached to the facility cannot be funded <br />with General Obligation bonds. <br /> <br />Transition Costs: During construction, it might <br />be necessary, to relocate some functions from their <br />existing locations into rental space, which would <br />cost more than thc operations and maintenance <br />costs now being paid for occupying City Hall. <br />There will also be costs to move functions fi'om <br />the old space into a new building. <br /> <br />Bond Issuance Costs: If the facility is funded in <br />part with bond proceeds, a cost factor for bond <br />issuance costs must be included.
