SECTION 2 Biosolids Citizen Advisory Committee IVleetings The BiosolidS Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) met thirteen times between October 3, 1996 and May 28, 1997. The CAC's charge from the MWMC was to develop options for biosolids management that were grounded in the Commission's policy commitment to beneficial reuse (biosolids are to be used in an environmentally sound way--not landfilled or.incinerated). The MWMC further charged the CAC to become highly informed on biosolids issues and to provide the Commission with their recommendation regarding their preferred alternatives after getting a broad reading from the public. All pertinent recommendations were t~ be provided to the Commission. The date and content of each meeting is described below. A detailed meeting agenda and meeting notes was prepared for each meeting together with presentation graphics. The detailed materials presented as well as tapes from meeting discussions are available from John Owens at 541/726-3695. The majority of the meetings were facilitated byCH2M HILL and attended by the CH2M HILL biosolids project manager.
