ATTACHMENT D
Planning for future transportation use, especially encouraging non-single occupancy
5.

auto use.
Developing a Food Security Plan and encouraging local food businesses.
Encouraging small business development, including through loans and tax incentives (as
opposed to helping large businesses, like Hynix).
Transportation planning for alternative transportation uses (ie. bike & walking)
6.

Improve bicycle and pedestrian routes.
7.

Repave Lorane/Crest as per city code, not neighborhood preference. I am a cyclist who
8.

uses it as is, but want the road to be less scary for folks who are considering
walking/biking to improve their health/the environment and save money. Using city
money to make the road without bike lanes and a flip/flop sidewalk does not encourage
multimodal use.
Development at Goodpasture Island Road and the impacts on a massive amount of
9.

added living units destroying the culture of the neighborhood, adding a significant
volume of traffic to roads already in "failure" AND negative impacts on safety due to so
much more traffic.
Lots has changed in terms of planning processes, and citizens aren't aware of the
10.

changes until they impact their neighborhoods. Many citizens are thinking rules/regs in
effect 10+ years ago are still accurate; they aren't. This creates animosity toward the
city.
1. Coordinated long-term vision for growth.
11.

2. Promote waterfront development/re-development (EWEB site, Glenwood, Franklin
corridor).
3. Eliminate minimum parking requirements.
Mixed Use Centers are high on my list of priority projects.
12.

Do Neighborhood Action Plans = Neighborhood Refinement Plans??
Infill Standards are very important too.
EmX corridor planning - apply special setbacks or otherwise lock up all of the needed
13.

ROW so we don't have any more new buildings being constructed that will conflict with
future (already planned for) transit needs.
DOWNTOWN!
Franklin - Walnut station
Yeah, let's DEFINE who we are, what we want, then the rest can fall into line.
14.

Right now, we're a disassociated collection of elsewhere focused/motivated individuals
who all have no idea where they are, what they want, but they don't want it in their
back yard.
INTEGRITY BRANDING are some big picture words that may help.
WHO ARE WE? Bums to BMW's - Inherited money and earned income.
And we're currently ALL still in the pits with a beautiful river beside us and pockets full
of hope. That's why I'm here, to help us ("YOU GENE") thru this place in time...
Thanx for asking.
DRiX
Revise development standards for downtown to help make it the most desirable place
15.

to build. Create a more "visual" downtown plan which illustrates what we want it to
look like.
