ATTACHMENT D
It does seem there are too many projects.
16.

clearly the mandated one's must take priority.. depending
on due dates...
None should be dropped, except maybe the obscure and poorly explained "Jeffries." I
17.

question the allocation and see some redundancies (e.g. "Neighborhood liaison work"
under "Land Use Code Implementation" and "Information and referral" under
"Neighborhood Program.") Perhaps these interrelated tasks and projects can be better
coordinated.
Re. Neighborhood Program and Action Plans: if the focus is on responding to
18.

neighborhoods who are already organized, then the result is an increasingly lopsided
program where affluent neighborhoods have more influence than unorganized low-
income neighborhoods. I support the neighborhood program and action plans if the
focus is to grow the base of neighborhood advocates in bethel and other low-income
neighborhoods.
Jefferies rezone is not a priority and don't know why it made the list to begin with.
19.

I don't understand what they all are! Seems to be government-speak to me.
20.

I am not sure what all the items encompass. Many items also seem to relate to each
21.

other. Neighborhood programs are important as ways to involve and motivate the
public. Mixed use centers are related to transportation and land use planning, and I'd
think would also be part of a climate and energy plan, etc. It's all important! But
especially immediate steps to reduce carbon emissions, to avoid tipping the planet into
an irreversible spiral towards climate catastrophe.
