I <br />Mr. HIediic, seconded by Mr. Lawless, moved bat the Eugene Planning Com- <br />mission recommend to the City Council a text amendment to the Eugene - <br />Springfield Metropolitan Area General Plan that added the following language: <br />An exception to Statewide Planning Goal 15 Willamette River Greenway was <br />approved by the cities ofEugme and Springfield and by Lane County authoriz- <br />ing construction of a bike path viaduct beneath the I -5 bridges, along the south <br />bank of the Willamette River. The exception authorizes construction of the bike <br />path viaduct including the fill and removal of fill necessary to build the structure: <br />This exception satisfies the criteria of Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR) 660- <br />0040022(6) Willamette Greenway and the exception requirements of OAR 660- <br />004- 0015, this exception is hereby adopted as an amendmcat to the Metro Plan <br />text, Policy D. IL Chapter III, Section D. The motion passed unanimously, 4:0. <br />Mr. Noble, seconded by Mr. Siddel- Zdzienicki, moved that the Lane County <br />Planning Commission recommend to the Lane County Board of County Com- <br />'missioners (BCC) a text amendment to the Eugene - Springfield Metropolitan <br />Area General Plan that added the following language: An exception to State- <br />wide Planning Goal 15 Willamette River Greenway was approved by the cities <br />of Eugene and Springfield and by Lane County authorizing construction of a <br />bike path viaduct beneath the I -5 bridges, along the south bank of the Willamette <br />River. The motion passed unanimously, 5:0. <br />Mr. Cross announced this concluded the public hearing for the Willamette Greenway. <br />B.
