~a} No person shall engage in disruptive behavior. As used herein, "'disruptive <br />behavior" includes, but is not limited to, behavior that: ~~}interferes with the use of the <br />library by other patrons; ~2} interferes with or hinders library staff in the performance of <br />their duties; ~3} is inconsistent with the purpose and intent of the library and is disturbing <br />to other patrons or the staff, including, but not limited to, bathing, shaving, washing hair, <br />changing clothes, or preparing meals in' the library bathrooms, and using any portion of <br />the Library premises for living accommodation purposes; ~4} consists of conversations or <br />laughing in a manner loud enough to interfere with other patrons' use and enjoyment of <br />the library; and ~5}involves the use of abusive or threatening language or gestures. <br />fib} No person shall permit a child under eight years of age for whom they are <br />responsible to be or remain unattended by an adult within the library. For purposes of <br />this subsection, an adult who brings a child under eight years of age into the library is <br />responsible for that child. <br />~c} No person shall sell, distribute or consume any alcoholic beverage, or possess any <br />open container of an alcoholic beverage, on the Library premises, except as allowed at <br />Library-approved events. No person shall be under the influence of any controlled <br />substance as defined in ORS 475.005 or any intoxicating liquor on the Library premises. <br />~d} No person shall smoke or use any tobacco products within the library or on <br />Library premises, in violation of Sections 6.225 through 6.240 of the Eugene Code,1971, <br />or in violation of City Manager Administrative Order No. 44W93-02. <br />fie} No person shall bring in or consume food or beverages inside the library building, <br />except beverages in closed resealable containers are not prohibited. <br />~~ No person shall use skateboards, roller blades, roller skates, scooters, wheeled <br />shoes with wheels protruding, or other similar wheeled apparatus in or on the Library <br />premises. Bicycles are not permitted inside library buildings, including vestibules or <br />covered doorways, unless a bicycle rack is provided within the area. <br />fig} Except for service animals ~e.g. guide dog, signal dog or other animal individually <br />trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability}, no animals are permitted <br />within the library. <br />~h} No person, unless contracted with the City to do so, shall solicit, sell, offer for <br />sale, peddle, or advertise any goods or services within the library. <br />(i} No person, except authorized City staff, or persons specifically authorized by City <br />staff, shall enter areas of the Library premises posted for use by City staff only. <br />~j} No person shall use library materials, equipment, furniture or fixtures in a manner <br />inconsistent with the customary use thereof, in a destructive, abusive or damaging <br />manner, or in a manner that could result in personal injury or injury to others. <br />Administrative order No. 57-09-03-F -Page 7 of 10 <br />
