Dorr of the Police Co~ittee cmlled attention of the Council to the matte~ of reDairing bicycles fo~ the day policemen. -~r. Dorr moved that .the day police~en be allowed the sum of $1.~0 pe~ month to cover expense oF repai~'ing bicycles, sm~e to be ~dded to thei~ regula~ pay ~nd to cover time from January last. Motion seconded by ~r. Bell and canopied Mr. Strike~ of the Fire & W~ter Comm~lttee stated to the Council that-they had endeavored ~ to get the committee of the ~voluntee~ fire department ~together to form ~n O~dinanee, as instructed at the l~st~ouneil ~eeti~g, but h~d been unable up to ~he present time to .do so,.mnd st~ted~th~t the Fire & Water 0o~ittee, 0ity Attorney and the Co~nittee from the vol~u~tee~, fi~e dep~rtment would meet on Wednesd~v ~vening, ~mreh ~th in the City H~ll mhd endemvo~ to m~ke satisfactory arrangements. .
