A Resolution declaring the intention of the Council to open and extend Thirteenth Avenue from Olive Street to Charnelton Street, and direeti~ the Engineer to file the plat and description of the property was read. I~otion was made, seconded ~nd c~rried to ~dopt A REsolution directing the Recorder to enter in the Docket of City Liens respective sun, s of benefits over d~'~ges in accordance with the openir~ and extension of Van B%u~en Street frown the Alley souti~ of ~event!~ Avenue to Eighth Avenue w~s read, and a ~otion w~s ~.de and seconded to adopt the s~%~e. The ~yes ~nd n~ys were e~lled; Councilmen voting ~ye 8, n~y none. The Resolution was declared adopted. A bill of the D3~_~ene ~ultigraphing Co. in the s~[u of ~ ' - ,~13.50 was presented, ~nd ~ motion w~s ~de ~nd seconded that a warrant be dra~ on the General Fund in p~ment of s~ne. Petitions for street lights at the inter,~eetion of Second Avenue ~nd Al~naden Street and at the aorner of Tenth Avenue and Jefferson Street were read and referred to ti~e Fire & Water Committee. :~tatement of gas carings of ti~e Oregon Power Comp~xy and cheek to the 0ity in the ~202.58 was read, smd the Recorder directed to deposit the said stun to the General Fund.
