Jaxmary 5, 191hr. <br /> <br />motion was made, seconded ~nd carried tt~at the bonds be approved and accepted. <br /> <br />Report of Buildi~ Inspector on electrical wiring for the .~Laonth of December.~_ <br /> <br />was placed on file. <br /> <br />A Resolution dec!arir~, the intention of the Council to improve certain streets <br /> <br />in the City of kh~ene by p~.ving and instructing the Recorder to give ten days' notice <br />to property ovmers that the Council will consider objections to the improve~ent <br /> <br />of s~e on the !gth d~y of J~nuary w~s read and on notion adopted. <br /> <br /> A Resolution declaring the intention of the Council not to grant the use of <br /> <br />streets of the City of ~ene for carniw~l purposes was read ~nd on notion adopted. <br /> <br />An Ordinance prohibiting the throwing of medicine in the streets, alleys ~nd <br /> <br />private property of the city of 5hw~ene was ~ead and passed its second and third <br />readings by title under suspension .of the rule and was pl`aced upon its final passage. <br />Councilmen voting aye 8~ nay none. The Ordinance was declared passed and mmbered <br /> <br />#1~3. <br /> <br />An 0rdinance..amendi~u~ Section 1 and Section 2 of 0rdim~noe No. 1215 was <br /> <br />read the first time ,and le~id over. <br /> <br /> A recom~'~end~tion of the 5'ire & Water Com~'nittee providi~ for the placing of non <br />to exceed ten fire hydrants on the old water system was on motion adopted, <br /> <br /> Remonstrances vcere re~d and referred to tlxe Street Cor3aittee ag~inst the ira- <br /> <br />provement by paving of the following streets: <br /> <br />High Street from the Southern Pacific R~,ilroad north to Third Street. <br /> <br />Sixth Avenue front Olive Street to Blair Boulevard. <br /> <br />Vfashington Street from Fourth Avenue to Nineteenth Avenue <br /> <br />Third Avemm from High Street to Ferry Street. <br />Ferry Street from Third Ave~me to the bridge. <br /> <br />Fourtl~ Avenue from Pearl Street to Higi~ Street. <br /> <br />High Street fr0~ Eleventh Avenue to 'i%~irteenth Avenue. <br /> <br />Twelfth Avenue. from 0~k Street to Alder Street. <br /> <br />Mom'oe Street from Eleventh Avenue to Fair Ormmds. <br /> <br />and ~ petition to p~ve Tenth Avenue West from Olive Street to Monroe Street was <br /> <br />referred to the Street Committee <br /> <br />The Sewer Cm~]aittee reco~ended t!~at ~!1 tim deeds for right of way for Trunk <br /> <br />Sewer be turned over to the Recorder and the Recorder i~ave sa~f,e recorded at the Count~ <br /> <br />Clerk's Office, and ~ motion w~s made, seconded and carried to that effect. <br /> On motion the Council adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />
