A Resolution and ~nnexed Act providing that the Cmmnon Council si~all i~ave control of all public.)~tilities belonging to the City of Et~lene and-repealing all acts creating the E~gene 7~ater Board was read and a motion was made and seconded to adopt tlte Resolution. Counei]~aen voting aye Hensi]l, Johnson, Koppe, !,{eMurpney., .. Doff, Bell, Bean and Beytien. The Resolution was declared adopted. .qotion was made,, seconded and carried that the City Attorney and Recorder be authorized to give prQper deeignations m~d, section nt~2bers to ti~e various Resolutions~ and Aot~ ~dopte4 at this meeti~-~ for the submission of tt~e sa~2e at the General Election cm..April 6,~ 191~.. , Chaim2an Bell_of the Sewer Co~?mittee moved that the time for completion of the sewer immediately~_.East of Jefferson Street from l~th to l~th Avenues be extended thirty (lays by request of Contractor ~lal~a~kv. !'~otion was seconded smd carried. Chairman .'dc~,~u~;phey Of the Street Cm~.mittee recom~'~ended that the petition for changing the bridge 0~ Hilyard Street be not acted upon, but tl~at the matter be disposed of in connection with the Ordinance providi~ for the paving of Hilyard Street vfnich.is to co~.e up before the Council. The recommlendation was on motion adopted. A delegation from ti~e Socialist Party presented a City Ci~arter to the Co~u~cil for submission at the~ election in April, but the Charte~, not having been drawn in form for. submission and there bei~M~ no time to consider ti~e contents of tt~e Charter or to re-draft .the same on account of the lateness o£~ its presentation to the Council and the matter being .explained to the Delegation they requested and were allowed withdraw said Charte~.
