Petition for a sewer co~neneing at a point about 210 feet east of Ferry Street .on East Ninth _Street and m~nnir~i tl~ence south to the .~illrace was referred to the Sewer Co~ittee. Petition for.a street ligi~t at the intersection of Eleventh Avenue and Adams Street was referred to tt~e t~ire & v~ater co~znittee. Petition for the vacation of a portion of A~ate Avenue from the O. & C. R. R. to the eente~ of 21s~ Avenue; and ~ petition for ~ sidewalk on the south side of West Tenth Avenue from the center of the Block between Tyler ~nd Polk S~treets east to Van Buren Street were referred to the Street Co~i~ee. Request of ~.'rank Reisner for two weeks' vacation on pay was on motion ant ed. Petition fo~the improving of Admus Street from Eleventt~ to Thirteenth Avenues by f~ading ~nd ~.avelling was reported favorably by the Street Co~mnittee. An Ordinance_granting to the Union Oil Co. of C~liforni~, ~ corporation, permission to locate, erect, operate o, nd m~int~in any warehouse, tankage and other necess~r2 buildings on a certain tract of land was read and passed its second ~nd third readings by title under su~ension of the ~le ~nd w~s placed upon its Final p~ss~ge.
