The Ordinance <br /> <br />was declared passed and nt~bered <br /> <br />Bids fo~- tl~e construction of a ~ewer from tt~e southeast corner of <br /> <br />Twenty-second Avenue East'and Agate Street, thence north along Agate Street to <br /> <br />Twenty-first Avenue, thence west to alley between ~4~ate ~nd Emermld Streets were <br /> <br />opened ~nd considered, and .Cotmeitm~n Bell of ti~e Sewer Co~m~i~tee moved ti~at the <br />Council now finds ~n(t dete~nines that the bid of 0lc Soleim is the lowest <br /> <br />best bid for t1~e constitution of said sewer, ~nd tt~at tile contract be awarded <br />to I~im for th~ construction of said sewer in aecordmme with his bid provi(~tng <br /> <br />that concrete pipe be used, ~nd that the ~yor ~nd Recorder enter into ~ con- <br /> <br />tract vrlth him on behalf of the City, ond that the other bids be rejected and <br /> <br />checks returned to unsuccessful bidders. ~{otion was seconded and carried, <br /> <br /> Councila~an Hc~{urphe¥ moved that the .~.Mginee2 be g~'a~ted an extension <br /> of time of seven days in which to file ti~e plans and descriptions for the open- <br /> <br />extension of 'l~ler Street from the north line of Wallis-Dorris Addition <br /> <br />to tt~e south line of Fo~th Avenue, and for the extension of ~{adison Street be- <br />tween I~ourth and Fifth Avenues. ~-{otion was seconded and carried. <br /> <br />The Finance Cor.~:~.ittee by Chairman Devereaux reco~.~ended that <br /> <br />rant for ti~e stu~ of $100.Stk be issued in favor of I{. F. Kilborn on account of <br /> <br />money collected by the City under assessment Ordinances for the improvement of <br />Fairmount Streets over and.above the original cost per contract, it appearing <br /> <br />that ~n assessment was levied for an amount gre~e~ th~n the original cost of <br /> <br />these improvements with the understanding that the surplus amount levied was to <br />be paid to Mr. ~ilborn when collected at the Treasuzer s Office.
