Council Chambers, ~ene, Oregon, July <br /> <br /> Council met pursuant to adjourr~nent of July 20th, and was called to order <br />by l~{a¥or Yoran. Present Counoil~..en Johnson, l{empy, ~{oMurphey, Bo£~e, Bell, <br /> <br />Devereat~x, Beytien and Goodpasture. <br /> <br /> In tt~e matter of extension of 13th Ave. from V;illamette Street to Olive <br />Street, the report of viewers was'considered ~nd objections thereto were read, <br />and oral objections heard from R. S. Hamilton, Atty., J. K. Pratt, A. b. Ball, <br /> <br /> and V~. T. 'Proctor. Motion made seconded and carried that the report together <br /> with the objections thereto be referred back to the viewers for further consid- <br /> eration, and repo~t to Council. <br /> <br /> In the matter of extension of 13th Ave. from Olive to Charnelton Streets <br />tire report of viewers was considered mtd objections of H, R. Kincaid were read <br /> <br /> and motion was made seco~led and carried that the report and objections thereto <br /> be referred back to the viewers for further consideration and report to the <br /> Count il. <br /> <br /> In the matter of extension of 17th Ave. from Oak Street to Willamette <br />Street the report of viewers was considered and oral objections thereto were <br />offered by D. Bilyeu for Nargaret I. Bilyeu, by Geo. A. Dorris for Celia A.~ Dunn <br />and Se~ral E. Patterson,~ and by A. L. Houghton and Laur~ R. Van Buren. Motion <br />was made seconded gnd carried to refer the report and objections thereto back to <br /> <br />the viewers for further consideration ~%d report to the Council. <br /> <br /> In the matter of extension of Third Ave. from Tyler Street to City Limits <br /> <br />the report of viewers was considered together wittt oral objections of John <br />Zimmer and motion was ~nde seconded and carried that tire report be referred back <br />to viewers for further consideration and report to the Council. <br /> <br /> ~n% Ordinance creating ~ Band Co~3aission and,providing tlteir term of <br />offiee and duties passed its second and third readings and was placed upon.its <br />final-passage. Councilmten voting aye 8, ne~y none. The Ordinance was declared <br />passed and n~u~bered #157g. <br /> <br /> An Ordinance levying assessments for the improvement of Harris Street <br /> <br />from loth to 23rd Aves. was read tt~e third time and motion was made by R. <br /> <br />MC~(urphey that all objections thereto be overruled and denied and the Ordinance <br /> <br />placed upon its passage. Motion seconded and carried. The Ordinance was <br />declared upon its passage. Councilmen voting ~ye 7, nay none, absent <br /> <br />Devereaux, Ordinance declared passed and numbered #1580. <br /> <br /> <br />
