DeCou, M~s. Laura ]{a~ls and othe~s. Petition was referred <br /> to tl~e I~inanee Cool,tee. <br /> <br /> The repo~t of the Health Officer was read mhd p!aeed on file. <br /> <br /> Repor~ of the Building ~nspector for September was re~d and referred to <br /> the Fiance ~o~it~ee. <br /> <br /> Reques$ of Counei~n Goodpast~e for three nonths' leave of absence was <br /> on motion ~anted. ~ <br /> <br /> The Fire & V~mte~ Co~tee ~eeo~ended t~t the Buil~ng ~nspeotor issue <br /> ~ permit to W. H. Fenton to m~e ~epmirs on building at eorne~ of Ninth Avenue <br /> ~nd Olive Stree~ for p~tent roofi~ ~nd corregmted iron, ~lso that he issue a <br /> permit to S. ~. Gou~ley to put new roof on g~llery ~$ ~7 - 10th Avenue V~es$, ~nd <br /> also repair ~oof on house ~t corne~ of Tenth Avenue ~nd Olive Street with p~tent <br /> roerig. 0n motion tko recommendation was adopted. <br /> <br /> ~Co~xei~a~M~u~phey~epo~ted that the Oon~ittee had ex~ned the re- <br />mons$~anee against the paving of Alde~ Street f~om Ninth Avenue to the Hillrace <br />and found that it contained ~ majority of the front footage ~1o~ the street, <br />and moved t~t the remonstrance be over,led and the 0rdin~nce for said improve- <br />men~ reconsidered. Motion was seconded ~nd co, tied. <br /> <br />THe Ordinance to improve Alde~ Stree~ f~om south liue of Ninth Avenue ~st to the <br />Millrace bei~ Ordinance No. 16~ was the~pon ~ead ~nd passed its second mhd <br />t~rd readings by title ~de~ suspension of the ~le mhd was declared upon its <br />final pass,ge. Councl~en voting ~ye 6, n~y Bo~e, absent Beytien. It was <br />declared the Ordinance was emrried by mor~ th~n two-thirds vote of the 0ouncil. <br /> <br /> The O~dln~nee ~0~ing and approving the plan~ and sp~eoifieations of the <br />Oity ~ineer fo~ ~he improvement of Alde~ S$~ee~ from South line of Ninth Avenue <br />Eas$ to ~he Millrace bei~ Ordin~ee No. 1616 was thereupon ~emd and passed its <br />second e~nd ~rd ~.eadings by $itle unde~ suspension of the rUle and was declared <br />upon i~s final passage.
