Oouncil met pursuant t° adJourr~ment of October 13th, and was called to order by MayorYoran, Pr~sentCotmci.lmen Johnson, Parks, McMt~phey, BelI and.Beytien; . absent Bogue, Devereau~x~ and Goodpasture. Olaim of.Mrs. Della E. Wheatfill for damages in the sum of $2000 for alleged personal injuries was .referred to the Judiciary Committee. · Bill of G. ~ Skipworth fop Attorney's fees in the case of Grelle and Inde- pendent Foundry Co. VS Oity of E~ene in the U. S. Circuit Court of appeals $250,00, and~bill of S!~eet-Drain Auto Co. in the sm~ of $6.50 were presented, and a motion was.madeand seconded that said bills be allowed and warrants drawn on the General Fund in payment of same. The ayes and nays were called; Councilmen voting aye Johnson, Parks, McMurphe~, Bell and Beytien, nay none, absent Bogue, Devereaux Goodpastu~e. The mo$ionwas declared carried and so ordered. At t~his time C~uncllman Bogue appeared in Council. Resolution declaring the inten$ion of the Council to open and extend Fourth Avenue from the..West line of Blair Boulevard to West lira of Tyler Street, and directing th~ Olty.Engineer to make and file a written report and plat of same was read, and.a motion_was made, sec'ended and carried to adopt same. An Ordinance in the matter of application of S. A. Buck for vacation of a centain alley inthe O~ty of D~gene was read and referred to the Street Committee,. An Ordinance levying assessments fo~ the construction of a cement sidewalk abutting the proper~y described in Section 2 (H, ~. Rhodes) was read the first time and laid over. .....
