Wheatfill for damages in the sum of $2000 for alleged <br /> <br />personal injuries was .referred to the Judiciary Committee. <br /> <br />· Bill of G. ~ Skipworth fop Attorney's fees in the case of Grelle and Inde- <br /> <br />pendent Foundry Co. VS <br /> <br />Oity of E~ene in the U. S. Circuit Court of appeals <br /> <br />$250,00, and~bill of S!~eet-Drain Auto Co. in the sm~ of $6.50 were presented, and a <br /> <br />motion was.madeand seconded that said bills be allowed and warrants drawn on the <br /> <br />General Fund in payment of same. The ayes and nays were called; Councilmen voting <br />aye Johnson, Parks, McMurphe~, Bell and Beytien, nay none, absent Bogue, Devereaux <br />Goodpastu~e. The mo$ionwas declared carried and so ordered. <br /> <br />At t~his time C~uncllman Bogue appeared in Council. <br /> <br />Resolution declaring the inten$ion of the Council to open and extend <br /> <br />Fourth Avenue from the..West line of Blair Boulevard to West lira of Tyler Street, <br />and directing th~ Olty.Engineer to make and file a written report and plat of same <br /> <br />was read, and.a motion_was made, sec'ended and carried to adopt same. <br /> <br />An Ordinance in the matter of application of S. A. Buck for vacation of a <br /> <br />centain alley inthe O~ty of D~gene was read and referred to the Street Committee,. <br /> <br />An Ordinance levying assessments fo~ the construction of a cement sidewalk <br /> <br />abutting the proper~y described in Section 2 (H, ~. Rhodes) was read the first time <br /> <br />and laid over. <br /> <br />.....
