Motion was seconded and carried. The Recorder was instructed to return checks to unsuccessful bidders on all the above contracts. The Sewer Co~nittee by Mr. Bell reported that they had awarded the eon- tract to C. H, Mahar~y for the ,extension to the storm sewer for the sum of $650.00 and recommended that the contract be dravm accordingly. Motion was m~de, seconded and carried to adopt the report of the Committee. Bids for the paving of Sixth Avenue West from Olive Street to Blair Street were opened and read, and additional petitions and remonstrances affecting the same were also read, and a motion was made, seconded and carried that the bids and remonstrances be referredto the Street Committee to report 0etober 26th0 Question of interpretation of the Street wagon license as affecting. different lines of business was presented by the Recorder, and referred to the Police 0ommittee.
