The Ordinance was declared passed and numbered #1658. <br /> <br /> An 0rdinanee levyir~ assessments for tile construction of a sewer lateral <br />to be laid in the alley between Second and Third Avenues from M~nroe Street to <br />trunk sewer on Polk Street, in the City of Eugene was read the second time and <br />objections called for, and oral objections were made by N~. John <br /> <br />Hattie A. Reeves, E. D. Landers and LOuisa N. Keller. .~{otion was made', <br />seconded and carried that the Ordinance be laid over for further consideration <br />of objections tu~til November 30th at V:30 o'clock P. M. <br /> <br /> An Ordinance providing for the constm~ction of a cement sidewalk on <br /> <br />the property described in Section I of this ordinance, abutting the property of <br />Elizabeth Gale, said property being in the City of Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, <br />was read and passed its second and third readings by title under suspension of the <br />rule and was placed upon its final passage. Councilmen voting aye 6, nay none, <br />absen~ 2. The Ordinance was declared-passed and numbered #1659. <br /> <br /> An Ordinance fixing the form of the Twenty-five Thousand Dollar (~5,000,¢0) <br />issue of "Armory Bor~ls", and repealing Ordinance No. 1618 so far as the same con- <br /> <br />flicts with this ordinance was read. Motion was made, seconded and carried that <br />the rules.be suspended and the Ordinance read the second time bY title, and the <br />Ordinance was read the second time by title. Motion was made, seconded and <br />carried that the rules be furtt~er suspende~ and the Ordinance read the third time <br />by title and placed upon its final passage. The Ordinance was thereupon read <br />the third ti~e by title and placed upon its passage. The ayes and nays were <br />called; Councilmen voting aye Johnson, Psrks, McMurphey, Bell, Devereaux and <br />Beytien, nay none, absent Bogue and Goodpasture. The Ordinance was declared <br />passed and numbered #1660. <br /> <br /> __ An Ordinance fixing the annual tax levy for the City of Eugene was read <br />and passed its second and third readings by title under suspension of the rule <br />and was placed upon its final passage. Councilmen voting aye 6, nay none, <br />absent 2. The Ordinance was declared passed and numbered #1661. <br /> <br /> A Resolution directing the City Treasurer to segregate moneys on hand <br />heretofore received from payments of assessments under'the Bancroft Bonding Act <br />and place the interest paid in in an interest fund and the principal in a.prin- <br />cipal fund, and also all interest collected from delinquent assessments t.o be <br />placed in said interest fund was read, and a. motion was made, seconded and <br />carried to adopt same. <br /> <br />Novemb er 23, 191~g. <br /> <br /> <br />
