Present Councilmen Johnson, Parks, McMurphey, Bell, <br /> <br />Devereaux and Be2tlen; absent Bogue and Goodpasture. <br /> <br /> Annual report_of the El~ene Library Board was read and filed. <br /> <br />Petition for ~ street Dight at Seventh and Jackson Streets,. ~nd petition <br /> <br />fo~ a street light at the Railro~t track on Lawrence Street were referred to the <br /> <br />Fire & Water Committee.. <br /> <br /> Petition to paye Lincoln Street from Fourth Avenue to the Railroad track, <br /> <br />and petition to p~ve High Street from the Railroad track to Fourth Avenue were <br />re~erred to the Stree~ Co~aittee. <br /> <br /> Request of th~ Warren Construction Co. for the return of their bid Oheck <br />filed v~th their bid on Sixth Avenue West p~ving was presented and the Recorder <br /> <br />instructed to rettu'n the cheek. <br /> <br /> The report of the viewers in the matter of the opening and extension of <br />Nineteenth. Avenue Eas~ f~om the East line of Willamette Street to the West_ line of <br /> <br />Driverton Addition in the City of Eugene was considered at this time together with <br /> <br />filed, objections of W~_}{. Field and appearance of W. H. Field by E. A. Wheeler his <br /> <br />Attorney. Motion w~s made, seconded and carried that final ~aotion upon the <br /> <br />report of vi~ver~ and objections ~e deferred until Monday November 30th at 7:30 o'clock <br /> <br />P, <br /> <br />An 0rdinanee ~evyingassessments for the construction of a sewer in the <br /> <br />0it¥ of Eugene in the:alley between Tenth Avenue and Eleventh Avenue~ from Van <br /> <br />Buren Street to Polk Street ~as rehd the second time and objections called for and <br /> <br />none heard, and on motion the Ordinance was read the third time mud placed upon its <br /> <br />final passage. Councilmen voting ~Ye 6, n~v none, absent 2. The Ordinance was <br /> <br />declared passed and numbered #1686. <br /> <br />An 0rdin~nce levying assessments for the improvement of the alley between <br /> <br />Ninth Avenue and Tenth Avenue, from Willamette Street to Oak Street was read the <br /> <br />second time ~nd obJec~!ons ealledfor and none heard, and on motiom the Ordinance <br /> <br />was read the third ti~e and~placed upon its final passage. Councilmen voting aye <br />6, n~y none, ~b~ent 2~ The Ordinance was declared passed and numbered #1657. <br /> <br />An Ordinance levying assessments for the improvement of tlxe alley between <br /> <br />Willamette Street andOak Street, from.
