DECI~,~BER 7, 191W. <br /> <br />Report of the Building Inspector for the month of November was read and <br /> <br />filed. <br /> <br />An Ordinance providing for the appointment of m City Board of Health, <br /> <br />and m Secretary to said Board, and providirg; E~les and regulations for said <br />Board and Secretary, and to protect the public from contagious or dangerous <br />diseases; ~and repealing all ordinances, and parts of ordinances, in conflict <br />with this ordinance was read and referred to the Health Co~m~ittee. <br /> <br />An Ordinance levying assessments for the construction of a sewer in the <br />Oity of E~gene in the alley between Olive and Charnelton Streets from Fourteenth <br /> <br />to Seventeenth Avenues was read and laid over. <br /> <br /> Report of viewers in the matter of the opening Grid extension of Seven- <br /> <br />teenth Avenue East from Oak Street to Willamette Street in the City of E~gene <br /> <br />read ~nd filed, and the Recorder instructed to give notice of the consideration <br /> <br />of said report. <br /> <br /> Report of viewers in the matter of the opening and extension of Fourth <br />Avenue West from Blair Boulevard to the West line of Tyler Street was read and <br /> <br />fi[led, and the Recorder instructed to give notice of the consideration of said <br /> <br />report. <br /> <br />Bids for the purchase of $3~,800.00 0ity of E~ene Improvement Bonds, <br /> <br />Series "~", were opened and read. Oounoilman Mc~.~urphey moved that. the Council <br />now finds and determines that the bid of Geo. ~. & J. A. EcPherson of Portland, <br />Oregon, is the lowest and best bid for the purchase of said bonds. Said bid <br />being as follows; <br /> <br />" Portland, Oregon, December ~, 191~. <br /> <br />R. S. Bryson, <br /> <br />City Recorder, <br /> <br />Eugene, Oregon. <br /> <br />Dear Si~,:- <br /> <br />In accordance with your call for bids on $3~,800 City of Eugene 6% <br /> <br />Improvement bonds, to be selden Decembe~ 7th, we bid Pa~, Accrued Interest and <br /> <br />Premium of 1 Percent, subject to regularity of the issue. <br /> <br />We hand you Certified Check for $696.00, payable to the Mayor of <br /> <br />your City. <br /> <br /> We will be glad to have you advise us on Monday evening whether or <br />not we are successful in this bid and if not successful, please return the <br /> <br />~ertified check. <br /> <br /> <br />
