DEOE[93ER 1~, 191k~. ~ An Ordinance providing for the construction of a cement sidewalk on the property described in Section i of this ordinance, said property being itt the City of Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, and abutting tire property of H. R. Kincaid was read and passed its second and third readings by title under suspension of the rule and was place~d upon its final passage; Councilmen voting aye 6, nay nolle,' absent Bogue and Goodpasture. The Ordinance was declared passed and n~nber ed ~/1673. An Ordinance levying assessments for the construction of a cement side- walk abutting ~the property described in Section 'lh~o of this Ordinance (%¥. H. Renshaw) was read, and the ov~ner of the property proposed to be assessed having filed a written waiver of rurt~ler notice, the Ordinance was read the second and third times by title under suspension of the rule and was placed upon its final passage. Councilmen voting aye 6, nay none, absent Boggle and Goodpasture. The 0rdin~nce was declared passed and numbered #167~. An Ordinance levying assessments for the construction of a sewer lateral the City of k~gene to be laid in the alley between Tenth and Eleventh Avenues f~om Polk Street main to Almaden Street was read the first time. Co]m~ittee recommended that Nr. A. J.' The Street by Oi~airman Bonar be laid off tile pay roll on and after December 1st, and that the n~mes of Gus Reams, H. C. Beebe and A. E. Hoover be .placed on the regular pay roll at a salary of ,~55 per month to each, to be paid out of the Road & Street Fund, and that W. J. Williams be placed on regular pay roll for rent of barn at $12.50 per month and J. J. The ReCorder was instructed to collect ~.00 per monttl for barn rent from ~oDowell commencing November 1st, and credit the same to the Road & Street Fund.
