Present Council,.ion Johnson, Parks, l{ci~urphey, Bo&~e, Bell, <br />Dev.ereaux and GoodpaSture; ab sen~t B?ytien. ~ <br /> <br /> An Ordinance appropriating ~venty-_!ve Thousand Dollars, derived from the <br />sale of bonds, to the General ~{ilitary Staff of the State of Oregon for the purpose <br /> <br />of f~uu~isi~i~ necessary funds to.pay the proportion required from the City of ~k~gene, <br />unde~- an act of the legislative assembly of the State of Oregon for the year l~15 <br /> <br />for the building of an ar~..ory in Eugene, Lane CoUnty, Oregon, was read and passed <br /> <br />its second and third readir~s by title under suspension of the rule and was placed <br />upon its final passage. Counoilmen voting ~ye 7, nay none, absent Beytien. <br /> <br />The. Ordinance was declared passed and numbered #1675. <br /> <br /> An Ordinance levying assessments for the construction of a sewer in the <br /> <br />City of Ek~gene in the alley between 0live Street and Charnelton Street from <br /> <br />l,'ou~teenth Avenue to Seventeenth Avenue was read the second time and objections <br /> <br />called for and none heing heard and none havir~,~ been filed, on motion tt~e rules <br />were suspended and the Ordinance read the tl~ird time by title and placed upon its <br />final passage. Councilmen voting aye 7, nay none, absent Beytien. <br />was declared passed and numbered #1676, <br /> <br /> I~.{otion was m~de and seconded that when the requisition is filed with the <br />~ity Recorder as provided by Ordinance No. 1675 that the Recorder and ~ayor shall <br />issue a warrant upon the Treasurer for tt~e dglivery of the $25,000 to the General <br />Staff. The ayes and nays were called; Councilmen voting aye Jotmson, Parks, <br />~{eHurphey, Bogue, Bell, Devereaux and Goo.dpasture, nay none, absent Beytien. <br />Motion was declared carried and so ordered. <br /> <br /> . City Attorney Skipworth reported that the petitioners for the return of <br />license paid for vehicles were, in his opinion, entitled to the rettu~n of the <br />amount of license unearned at the time the license Ordinance was repealed. <br /> <br />The Ordinance <br /> <br />Eotion was made and seconded ~ha~ the Recorder check up the statement Of.~the <br />amounts due as shown by the petition filed by Foster &'tfamilton in behalf of <br /> <br />licensees and issue a. warrant for tko amount found to be due in favor of Fester <br />& Hamilton, Attorneys.
