PfBRUARY 8, 1915. <br /> <br />An Ordinance adoptlngand approving the plans and specifications of <br /> <br />the City Engineer for the paving of High Street from Fifth Avenue East, or the <br /> <br />Southern Pacific Railroad Tracks to Fourth Avenue East was read and passed its <br /> <br />second and third readings by title under suspension of the rule and was placed <br /> <br />upon its final passage. Cbuneilmen voting aye 7, n~y none, absent Bogue, <br />~e 0rdlnanee was declared passed and n~nbered#1691. <br /> <br /> }~otion was made, seconded and carried that the matter of installation of <br />a cut off for the public fountain at,the First National Bank eorner,'and providing <br />for the shutting off of the water at certain hours, be referred to the Fi~e & <br /> <br />Water Committee'with power to act. <br /> <br /> The matter of burning cluster lights until 1 o'clock in the morning <br /> <br />to enable the stree~ cleaning department to see to clean the streets was referred <br />to the Fire & Water Committee. <br /> <br />City Attorney Foster advised the Council that, in his opinion, the City <br /> <br />Charter~ afforded mnple power to vacate a portion of Agate Street, and on his <br /> <br />reco~endation the petition for the n~rrowing.of s'~id street w~s referred to <br /> <br />the City Engineer and Street Co~.~ittee to 'cheek and report the ntu~ber of property <br />owners and front footage. <br /> <br /> Motion was made, seconded axe.carried that the Council adjourn to meet <br />February 15, 1915, at 7:30 o'clock P.
