12 <br /> <br /> Bids for the construction of a sewe~ between Seventh and Eighth Avenues <br />from Van Bu~en Street to Blair 'Boulevard were opened and read,' and a motion was <br />made, seconded and carried that the same be referred to the Sewer Com.-~ittee <br />for consideration. <br /> <br /> An Ordinance authorizing the issuance and sale of .~ll~,000.00 Improve- <br />ment Bonds of the City of kk~gene was read and passed its second and third read- <br />ings by title %u~der suspension of the rule and w~s placed upon its final passe, ge. <br />The ayes and nays were called; Councilmen voting aye Johnson, Parks, <br />Bell, Devereaux, Beytien and Goodpast~e, nay none, absent <br />The 0rdinanee was declared passed and numbered #170~. <br /> <br /> The' Fire & Water Committee recommended that the petition for a street <br />light at the intersection of 12th ~nd Jefferson Street be granted. On motion <br />the reebnu~endation was adopted. <br /> <br /> Attorney Footer stated that C. A. Hardy, Attorney for ~s. Brist'ol, had <br />offered to settle with the City her claim for damages for $500 for an immediate <br />settlement. The matter was referred to the Judiciary Co~mnittee. <br /> <br /> Couneilm. an Johnson pre~sented the question of erecting tents within the <br />fire limits. No action taken. <br /> <br /> Plans for th~ widening of Eighth Avenue West' were referred to the <br />Street Committee and Engineer to be checked. <br /> <br /> Motion was made, seconded and carried that the Council adjourn to meet <br />April 5, 1915, at 7:30 o'clock P.
