The ayes and nays were called; Couneilme~ voting aye 7, nay Polders. <br /> <br />The Ordinance was declared passed and numbered #1832. <br /> <br /> A Resolution providing for the notification to the Eugene Water Board to <br />proceed with the eonstr~letion of the lighting system as provided by Ordinance No. <br />1832 was read and on motion adopted. <br /> <br /> An Ordinance providing for the construction and erection of an ornamental <br />street lighting system on both sides of Seventh Avenue from Olive Street to <br />High Street in the City of Eugene and to assess the cost thereof against the <br />property abutting said street between said points was read the second time and <br />oral objections to the Passage of the Ordinance were made by JOshua Yates and <br />Elizabeth ~(urry, and upon motion the Ordinance was laid over until February 28, <br />l~16, at ~:30 ~o'eloek P. M. <br /> <br /> An Ordinance levying assessments for the construction and erection of an <br />ornamental street lighting system on both sides of Eighth Avenue between Will- <br />mmette Street and Lincoln Street in the City of Eugene was read and passed its <br />second and third readings by title trader suspension of the rule by unanimous eon- <br />sent of the Council and was placed upon its final passage. Councilmen voting <br />aye 8, nay none. The Ordinance was declared passed and n~nbered #1833. <br /> <br /> An Ordinance levying assessments for the construction and erection of an <br />ornamental street lighting system on both sides of Willamette Street between the <br />Southern P~eifie Compar~y Depot and tile south line of Eleventh Avenue in the City <br />of Eugene was read and passed its second and third readings by title under sus- <br />pension of the rule by unanimous consent of the Council and w~s placed upon its <br />final passage. Councilmen voting aye 8, n~¥ none. The Ordinance was deelmred <br />passed and n~nbered #183W. <br /> <br /> SID~tlALK: I~RY E. PRATER & EDITH C. PRATE~. An Ordinance providing for <br />the construction of a cement sidewalk abutting the property described in Section <br />One of this Ordinance, said property being in the City of Eugene was read and <br />passed its second and third readings by title under suspension of the r~tlle by <br />unanimous consent of the Council and was placed upon its final passage.
