P~esent Councilnen Parks, Peterson, Koppe, Quimby and Goodpasture; absent Polders, ~.(osher and Devereaux. The request of ~lrs. Murry to make alterations in building at 83 - 7th Avenue East by changing the front, ceiling the building and constructing a ehi:~ney was referred to .the I,'ire & Water Con~nittee with power to act. Mm. Ira Lattin requested the Council to pass an Ordinance licensing the business of chimney sweepers, ami the matter was referred to the Judiciary Committee to investigate and report. The bill of K. b. }{all for $217.59, final payment on lkth Avenue sewer re-construction, was presented, and a motion was made and seconded that the bill be allowed and a warrant drawn in payment of the same. The ayes and nays were called; Councilmen voting aye 5, nay none, absent 3. Motion was declared carried and so ordered. An 0rdinanee levying assessment for the construction of a cement sidewalk abutting the property deseribed in Section 2 of this Ordinance, J. W. Shattuck, owner, was read and passed its second and third :readings by title under sus- pension of the rule and was placed upon its final passage. Councilmen voting aye 5, na~Y none, absent 3. The Ordinance was declared passed and numbered #leV1. An Ordinance levying assessment for the construction of a cement sidewalk abutting the property described in Section 2 of this ordinance, J. M. Morris, owner, was read and passed its second and third readings by title under suspension of the rule and was placed upon its final passage. Councilmen voting aye 5, nay none, absent 3. The 0rdinanee was declared passed and m~bered #1872. An 0rdinanee levying assessment fo~' the construction of a cement sidewalk abutting the property described in Section 2 of this Ordinance, Mrs. Reams, owner, was read and passed its second and third readings by title under sus- pension of the rule and was placed upon its final passage.
