209 <br /> <br />DECENBER 1, 1916. <br /> <br /> Council Char~lbers, Eugene, Oregon, December 1, 1916. <br /> <br /> Council met pursuant to adjourrn~ent of November 27th, and was called <br /> to o~der by ~,~ayor Bell. Present Councilmen Polders, Parks, Peterson, Koppe, <br /> ~osher, Devereaux, Quimby and Goodpasture. <br /> <br /> ~embers of the Eugene '~?ater Board, E. U. 'Lee, E. K. Wheeler and <br /> <br /> R. N. Day, and Secretary ~,~, Geller, met with the Council to discuss the pro- <br /> <br /> posed tax levy, and ~.{r. Day presented a report for the' Water Board advising <br />'%he Council that their levy would be 3 mills. <br /> <br />Councilman Koppe was excused at this time. <br /> <br />An Ordinance fixing the annual tax levy for the City of Et~ene was <br /> <br />read ar~l passed its second and third readings by title under suspension of <br /> / <br /> <br />the rule anal was placed upon its final passage. The ~yes and nays were c~ll- <br /> <br />ed, Councilmen voting ~ye 7, nay none, absent Koppe. The Ordinance was de- <br />elated passed and numbered #1886. <br /> <br /> Ea%yor Bell announced the re-appointment of F. S. Dunn, .%~rs. L. H. <br /> <br />JohnsOn ar~ E. B; Parks as members of the Eugene Public Library Board; their <br /> <br />terms having expired in November. l~otion was .made, seconded and carried to <br /> <br />confirm these appointments. <br /> <br />On motion the Council adjourned. <br /> <br />City Recorder. <br /> <br /> <br />
