JANUARY <br /> <br />Motion was made and seconded that said bills be allowed and war~'ants drawn <br />in payment therefor'. The ayes and nays Were called; Councilmen voti~ aye <br />6, nay none. ~otion was declared' carried and so ordered. ~ <br /> <br /> Bill of the E~ene Water Board in the s~. of ~13V0.15 was considered <br />and a motion was made and seconded that the item of miscellaneous li~ti~ <br />for Skl.00 and the two items of $~$.00 each for De~ot Park water be wit~eld <br />for f~ther consideration, and the balance of the bill in the s~a of $1321.15 <br />be allowed, and ~ warrant drawn on the General Fund in pa~ent of the s~e. <br />The ayes and nays were called; Councilmen voting aye 6, nay none. <br />~otion was declared carried and so ordered. <br /> <br /> ~otion was ~de, seconded and carried that the Council adjourn to <br />meet January gq, 1917, at 7:30 o'clock P. ~. <br /> <br /> JANUARY 22, <br /> <br /> Council Chambers, Eugene, Oregon, January 22, 191V. <br /> <br /> Council met pursuant to adjourr~.ent of January 8th, and was called <br /> <br />to order by ~ayor Bell. Present Councilmen Folders, Parks, Peterson, Koppe, <br />~osher, Devereaux, Quimby and Goodpasture. <br /> <br /> A petition askir~ that' Seventh Street between Pearl and High Streets <br /> <br />be roped off during the scilool recess periods of the Washington School as a <br />p~oteetion to school children from the dangers o.f traffic~ and a remonstrance <br />against the eloslng of the same were read and discussed, and a motion was <br />made, seconded and carried that final action be deferred, and the matter re- <br />ferred to the Judiciary Con~nittee and City Attorney. <br /> <br /> Nr. 0. B. Pennlngton requested the use of the City Assembly Hall at <br /> <br />such hours as may be convenient for the purpose of drilling tt~e Radiator Dr~ <br />Corps, and offered to take care of the cost of lighting. R{atter was referred <br />to the Building Con~ittee with power to act. <br /> <br />Petition from the Secretary of the Buceel Entertai~ment Course to be <br />relieved from the payment of City license was referred to the Judiciary Comuittee <br /> <br /> <br />
