"K" <br /> <br />$ t s.oo <br /> <br /> ~oti~on was made and seconded that said bills be allowed and warrants~.drawn <br /> in payment of same. The aye~ and nays were called; Councilmen voting <br /> aye 6, nay none, absent Polders and Devereaux. Motion was declared ~arried <br /> and so ordered. <br /> <br /> Bids for the purchase of 18,050 feet of 'ltmber were opened. <br /> <br /> Motion was made, seconded and carried that the bid of Booth-Kelly Lumber Co. <br /> to furnish said lumber at a price of ~298.00, as specified, be accepted. <br /> <br /> Mayor Peterson appointed J. B. Nettleton as a fireman and H. L. Traver <br />as a night police officer of the City, and a motion was made and seconded that <br />these 'appointments be confir~ed; that Mr. Nettle'ton be placed on the pay roll <br />of th~ ~ity at a salary of $65.00 pe~ month and M~. Traver at a salary of <br />$~5.00 per month. The ayes and nays were called; Councilmen voting aye 6, <br />nay none, absent Polders ~d Devereaux. Motion was declared carried and so <br />ordered. <br /> <br /> Councilman E. B. Parks was nominated a~President of the Counoil; <br /> there being no other nominations, upon motion seconded and carried, lI~. Parks <br /> was deolared elected. <br /> <br /> Motion was made, seconded and carried that the Street Committee be <br /> authorized to buy some new equipment for the pa~ching of the street pavements. <br /> <br /> City Engineer Devereaux submitted a plat showing the proposed L~ades <br /> of streets and sidewalks at Second and Pearl Streets. A motion was made, <br /> seconded and carried to adopt the proposed plan, and instructing the Engineer <br /> and Attorney to prepare an 0rdlnanee for that purpose. <br /> <br /> Motion was made, seconded and carried that the Council adjourn to <br /> meet MaY~'28, 1917, at 7:30 o'olock P. M. <br /> <br />City Recorder. <br /> <br /> <br />
