65 <br /> <br /> Council Chambers, Eugene, Oregon, October 15, 1917. <br /> <br /> Council met pursuant to adjo{~rnment of October 8th, and was called <br /> <br />to order by ~(ayor Petel, son. Present Co~mcilmen Polders, Parks, Koppe, <br />Spencer, Mosher, Goodpast~=e and Spangler; absent Devereaux. <br /> <br /> The offer of the Overland Garage to rent City lot at Ninth and <br /> <br />Pearl Streets, at a monthly rental of $15.00, was referred to the Finance <br />Com~.ittee with power to act. <br /> <br /> ~otion was made, seconded and carried directing the Recorder to ad- <br />vertise for bids for the construction of sidewalks where notices have been <br />served and owners have failed to comply with their notice. <br /> <br /> City Attorney Poster explained to the CounCil in reference to the <br />banerofting of the lots in City Outlook Addition in case of the improvement <br />of Potter Street, that if the improvement was m~de Dean Sanderson had agreed <br />with him that he would be willing to pay or loan to the owners the excess of <br />the assessment for the street improvement over the valuation, as shown on <br />the County assessment roll, in order to comply with the terms of the Bancroft <br />Bonding Law. <br /> <br /> An Ordinance to improve Potter .Street f~om 25th Avenue South to the <br />south side of 28th Avenue and 28th Avenue from Potter Street east to University <br />Street in the City of Eugene was read the third time and placed upon its final <br />passage. Councilmen voting aye Polders, Parks, Koppe, Spencer and Spangler, <br />nay' Mosher and Goodpasture, absent Devereaux. .The Ordinance was declared <br />passed and numbered #1913. <br /> <br /> Motion w.~s made, seconded and carried to accept the agreement of the <br />Eugene Bible University, dated September 18, 1917, relating.to the improvement <br />of Pott~ Street and 28th Avenue. <br /> <br /> I,.{otion was made, seconded and carried that the Council adJo~=n to <br /> <br />meet ~Oetober 22, 1917, at 7:30 o'clock P. M. <br /> <br /> City Recorder. <br /> <br /> <br />
