273. <br /> <br />DEC~/~{B ER 10 <br /> <br /> At this time bids for the purchase of f~5,200.00 Series "S" Impro¥sment <br />Bonds were opened and read and referred to the Finance Committee, which <br />Comsaittee having examined the bids reco~.aended that the bid of Jesse G. Vfells, <br />which bid is as follows: <br /> <br />t, <br /> <br />R. S. Bryson, Esq., <br /> <br /> City Recorder, Eugene, Oregon, <br /> <br />Dear Sir: <br /> <br />Eugene, Ore. Dec. 10th, 1917. <br /> <br />I hereby offer 103 for the ~5,200.00 Eugene, Oregon, IIaprovement <br /> <br />Bonds, Series "S"., o~ a total of ~A5,356.00 and accrued interest, from <br />Jan, 1st. 1918 to the time said bonds ave issued. <br /> <br /> Respectfully submitted <br /> <br /> Jesse G. %Yells. <br /> <br />is the higt~est and bes~ bid, and a motion was made and seconded that the sale <br />of said bonds be awarded to said Jesse G. Wells in accordance with his bid, <br />and that all other bids be rejected and checks returned to unsuccessful <br />bidders. Motion was carried. <br /> <br /> Mayor Peterson reconu~ended that J. L. Gardner, Janitor, be placed <br />upon a salary of ~60.00 per month from January 1, 1918. Motion was made <br />and seconded that the recommendation be adopted. The ayes and nays were <br />called; Councilmen voting aye 8, nay none. ~,Motion was declared carried and <br />so ordered. <br /> <br /> The following bills were recommended for payment by the Finance <br />Com~l tte e: <br /> <br />S.
