26 <br />JULY <br /> 1915 <br /> <br /> Oounoil Ohambers, Eugene, Oregon, July 26, 1915. <br /> <br /> Oounoil met pursuant to adjournment of July 13th, and was called to <br />order by Mayor Bell. Present Councilmen Parks, Polders, Koppe, ~osher, <br />Goodpasture and Quimby, absent Peterson and Deve, reaux. <br /> <br /> The Street Committee filed a written report ~ecommending the rejection <br />of bids for the improvement of the alley betwee~ Charnelton and Lincoln <br />Streets from Eleventh to ~elfth Avenues, on the, gro~u~ds that the bids were <br />excessive. The recommendation was on motion ~dopted. <br /> <br /> The Finance Comm. ittee reported bills fop payment as follows: <br /> <br />GENERAL FUND_. <br /> <br />5.00 Frank Dumbin $ 1.70 <br />1.70 Blllmire Bros. 7.50 <br />1.70 Rowland Bros. 7.50 <br />1.70 Char lie Dick 3.00 <br />1.70 Eddie Dick 5.00 <br />1.70 Vernon ~. The ayes and nays were called; Councilmen voting aye <br />Pa~ks, Polders, Koppe, Mosher, Goodpasture and Quimby, nay none, absent <br />Feterson and Devereaux. Motion was declared c~rried and so ordered. <br /> <br /> Petition of F. L. Ohambers to erect a w~iting station in the parking <br /> on the East side of Hilyard Street north of Eleventh Avenue was referred <br /> to the Street Committee. <br /> <br /> Petition of the Oregon Electric Railway Co. for a spur track on the <br /> north side of Fifth Avenue east of Pearl Street to the proposed Allen & Lewis <br /> <br />warehouse was referred to the Street Comm~ittee. <br /> <br /> <br />
