Council Chambers, E~ene, Oregon, A~9~st 2-/ 1915. Council met in Specia-~. session pursuant to call of l~yor Bell, on At~ust 27th. ~t 3 o'clock P.M. ~nd was e~lled to order by the M~yor with the followi~-g Councilmen present: Polders, Koppe, Peterson, Mosher, Ooodpast~.e and Quimby; absent Parks and Devereaux. The purpose of the meeting ~s set forth in the e~ll was read. A report of the Street Com~ittee reco~nending to the Council the p~ehase of two teams o~ horses ~nd sets of h~rness ~t ~ cost of not to exceed $700.o0 w~s read and ~ motion m~de seconded ~nd c~rried to adopt the report. Re~mmnendation of the Fire and V~ter Cm~ittee that the Council gr~nt the petition of Marcellus Bonnett to improve his building ~t Corner of 9th. ~nd Olive Streets was on motion ~dopted. Recommendation of the Street Co]~ittee that the expense of construct- lng a sidew~!k on 19th. Ave, would be too gre~t ~t the present time snd that the ~natter be dropped For the presentwas on motion adopted. Recom~nend~tion of the Street Co~ittee that the City Attorney be in- structed to bri~ suit to determine the rights of the City in Age. re Street was on motion ~dopte4. 0n motion the ~6uncil ~dJourned.
