Present Councilmen Parks, Polders, Koppe, <br />Peterson, ~{6sher, Goodpasture and Quimby; absent Deve~ea~tx. <br /> <br /> The mi~u%tes of Council ~roceedings under dates of July 12th, 13th, <br /> <br />16th, 26th, 29th, August 9th, 23rd, '2Vth and September 3rd were read and approved. <br /> <br /> Petition for street iight at intersection of Twelfth Avenue and <br />Lawrence Street, and a petition from the Trustees of the ~.(eth~dist Church for <br />permission to use the iron posts formerly in front of tt~e First National Bank <br />for street lightin~ posts were referred to the Fire & Water. Co~.uittee. <br /> <br /> A tender of V~m. H. Field by A.. E. Wheeler his Attorney in full of <br />assessment against property on South V~illmnette Street in the stu~ of <br />with interest at 6 per cent from July 13, 1(315, was read and referred to the <br />l,~in~ne e Committee. <br /> <br /> Request of El K. Che, pman that the Council authorize the City 'Treasure~ <br />to accept .76-~.~3~ in payment of assessment against Lot 8, Block 22, Gross <br />Addition, without interest was referred to the Finance Co~.~3nittee. <br /> <br /> Petition of the Etw~ene ~,(otor Car Co. to build an approach to' the side- <br />walk at 763 Olive Street w~s referred to the Street Committee with power <br /> <br />to act. <br /> <br /> Con~nunication from ~. C. V;alters denying ov~nershiP of property at the <br />corner of 13th and Lincoln Streets, in front of which ~ sidewalk has been <br />ordered constructed, was referred to the Street CoE~ittee. <br /> <br /> Report of tt~e Building !nspector. of permits issued for the month <br /> <br />of Auga~st was read and placed on file. <br /> <br /> Co~n~unication to the Council from Fred G, Stickels, Treasurer, suggest- <br />ing various changes in funds and accounts was referred to the Finance <br />Conu~ittee. <br /> <br /> Petitions of various p~rties for the position of janitor at the new <br />City ]{all quarters were read and referred to the Finance Co~m~ittee. <br /> <br /> The Fire & Water Committee reco~aended that the petition for ~ <br />fountain in front of the United States National Bank be granted, providing <br />the fountain be equipped with automatic shut-off, also recommended that the <br />First National Bank be requested to equip its fountain with an automatic <br />shut-off, also recommended that the petition for a street light at the <br />corner of Second Avenue East ~nd Pearl Street be denied, ,also that the <br /> <br /> <br />
