West, in the City of E%u3ene was read the first time and laid over. <br /> <br /> A report from the Pomona Grange recmm.~ending for market master Nr. <br /> <br />C. J. H~n'd and for assistant market master Nr. W. A. Ayers was presented, and a <br />motion was made, seconded and carried that the appointments be confirmed by the <br />eouncil. <br /> <br /> A ]notion was made, seconded and carried that the Council allow the bills <br />incurred on account of Liberty Bell Day, being about $25.00 in excess of the <br />$50.00 originally a&~reed upon. The following bills having been approved by the <br />Chairman of the Finance Con~ittee on account of Liberty Bell Day expenses were <br />read, as follows: <br /> <br />Pacific Transfer Co. <br /> <br />Bangs Livery Co. <br /> <br />Watson Bros. <br /> <br />Parks-Soults Lbr. Co. <br /> <br />Geo. H. ~iller <br /> <br />Booth-Kelly Lbr. Co. <br /> <br /> GM{ERAL FUND. <br /> <br />1.25 T.J. Robertson $ 3.00 <br />1.50 W.F. Armstrong 3.00 <br />1.50 Y.D. Hensill 6.95 <br />2.30 Rae & Son 8.00 <br />2.25 E.W. Pollock 25.00 <br />2.60 <br /> <br />Notion was made and seconded that said bills be allowed and warrants drawn in <br />pa~ent of same. The ayes and nays were called; Councilmen voting aye Parks, <br />Polders, Koppe, Peterson, Devereatux, Nosher, Goodpasture and Quimby, nay none. <br />~otion was declared carried and so ordered. <br /> <br /> The bill of the Warren Construction Co. for contract repairs, together <br />with various small repair bills aggregating the s~n of $1k27.85 was presented, <br />and a motion was made and seconded that a warrant be drawn in favor of said <br />Warren Construction Co. for said amount, to be delivered to them upon receipt <br />of a signed agreement for the flush coating of East Eleventh Avenue from <br />Willamette Street to Alder Street at such time as the City may require. <br /> <br />The ~yes and nays were called; councilmen voting aye Parks, Polders, Koppe, <br />Peterson, Devereaux, Nosher, Goodpasture and Quimby, nay none. Notion was <br />declared carried and so ordered. <br /> <br /> Notion was made and seconded that the Finance Co~m~ittee enter into a <br />contract with the School Board whereby the City ~grees to p~y $25,000 <br />retaining the balance of ,~15,000 of the purchase price of the High School <br />Building until the Board shall establish the title to the property, the City <br />to have immediate possession, and a warrant to be drawn and delivered to the <br /> <br /> <br />
