O~TOBER !$, 1915. <br /> <br />The ayes and nays were called, Councilmen voting aye Parks, Polders, Peterson, <br />Devereaux and Quimby, nay none, absent Koppe, Mosher and Goodpasture. <br />Motion was declared carried and so ordered. <br /> <br /> At this time Councilman Koppe appeared in Council. <br /> <br /> An Ordinance levying assessments for the improvement of Dineoln Street <br />from the north side of Fourth Avenue to the North side of Third Avenue was <br />read the second time, and this being the time for h,earing objections to the <br />proposed assessment objections were called for and none heard and no objections <br />having been filed against said assessment, the Ordinance was on motion read the <br />third time and placed upon its final passage. Councilmen voting aye 6, nay <br />none, absent Mosher and Goodpasture. The Ordinance was' declared passed and <br />numbered #lV~)6. <br /> <br /> The Street Committee recommended that in the paving of the alley between <br />8th and 9th Avenues from Olive to Charnelton Streets that the contract be <br />awarded to Clark & Hener¥ Construction Co. in accordance with their bid on the <br />specification providing for 5 inch cement concrete base and 2 inch asphaltic <br />wearing surface. On motion the report of the Street Con~lttee was adopted. <br /> <br /> An Ordinance determining{ the kind of improvement to be adoPted in the <br />improvement of the alley between 8th and 9th Avenues from Olive Street to <br />Charnelton Street in the City of Eugene, adopting and approving the plans, <br />profiles and specifications for ~he same and awarding the contract for such <br />construction was read and passed its second and third readings by_ title under <br />suspension of the rule and was placed upon its final passage. Councilmen <br />voting aye 6, nay none, absent Nosher and Goodpasture. The Ordinance was <br />declared passed and ntu~bered <br /> <br /> An Ordinance providing a license to all persons, firms or corporations <br />engaged in spraying fruit trees or shrubbery for hire in the. City of Eugene, <br />providing penalties for the violation of the Ordinance and for the revocation <br />of license was read and passed its second and third readings by title under <br />suspension of the rule and was placed upon its final passage. Councilmen <br />voting, aye 6, n~y none, absent Mosher and Goodpasture. The Ordinance was <br />declared passed and numbered #1798. <br /> <br /> Objections of W. T. Campbell and ~. A. Bonnett to the assessing <br /> <br /> of costs of ornamental lights on Olive Street, claiming that spacing of posts' <br /> is not uniform and not in compliance with the Ordinance were referred to the <br /> Street Committee. <br /> <br />99 <br /> <br /> <br />
