100 Petition of Alder Street property owners for a foot bridge across the millrace on the F~st side of Alder Street was referred to the Street Committee. Bids for the construction of a sewer as provided by 0rdinanee No. 1788 in the Northeast part of the City were opened, read and referred to the Server' Committee. The Pinanee Committee by Chairm~n Polders moved that 7¢. B. Eurmmey be employed as Janitor of the City }{all at a salary of $60.00 per month, eom- meneing 0etober 5th, and that. he be placed on the regular pay roll of the City, t~ls warrants to be dr~va~ on t.he General ~kmd the first of each month. ~4otion was seconded and the ~yes and nays were es!led; Councilmen voting aye Parks, Polders, Koppe, Peterson, Devere~ux and Quimby, nay none, absent Nosher and Goodpasture. ~ot ion was declared e~rried and so ordered. W. K. Striker was ordered dropped from the pay roll as of 0etober 1, 1~15. Councilman Peterson o.f the Building Conmnittee reported for the ,,, Comnittee reeo~?nding that N~r. John Hunzloker be employed to prepare plebs for ~he remodeling of the City Ha.!l Building, with the understgnding that he be paid 3 per cent on the cost o.f work actually done at such times as the work may be done under a proper eo'ntraet to be d~a~ax. Notion was m~de, seconded and carried to adopt the reco~endation. The m~tter of insurer.ce on the City H~ll Building w~s referred to the ~inanee Committee with power 'to mot. Chairman Polders of the ~inanee Committee moved thgt the Council employ }lessrs. Williams & Over at a .salary of ~.00 per day each to audit the City books from the last audit to October 1. 1915. Notion seconded and carried. Natter of purchasing ~supply of wood for the City Hall was referred to the ~int~nee Connnittee to investigate. On motion the Council adjourned. City Recorder.
