Meeting called <br />to order by CouneiIman'MeA!iSter ~s PreSident of the Jouncil in the absence of ~{~yo~. <br /> <br />E.B. Parks, all members of the 'CoUnCil were p~esent. Minutes of the meetings of ~ <br />S~Pt. 8, se~t. 22, and SePt. 30, read and approved. <br /> <br />The Judiei~ry Committee, to which was referred th~ matter of the auctioneers <br /> <br />license fees in arrears of J.K. Gr~er, reported and recon~nended the Ordinance per- <br />taining to auctioneers be enforced in this case. Said report was adopted. <br /> <br /> Oscar Snow appeared an,1 asked that 'he be permitted to suspend work on-his con- <br />tract to construct a sewer lm the alley f~om 6th to ~4th Ave,nos between Wlllemette <br /> <br />and 0live Streets until the end of the rainy season. No action was taken but mom- <br /> <br />bors of the Council agreed to go over the ground and c,m.~lder the matter ~nd report <br /> <br />later, <br /> <br />The Health Committee reported a stretch of street neast let Aveme and Monroe. <br />where there are numerous houses, has no sewer ser~iee an~ also the h~uses on the <br /> <br />South side of llth Ave. between Polk and Chambers Streets are withou~ such service. <br />Nc &etlon was taken, <br /> <br /> The Ylre and Water Committee reported further on the claim of g.0. Burgess for <br />work on the ~ranklin Street bridge and reco~,mended the claim be ae~ Paid. Such re- <br />port was adopted, <br /> <br /> V.C. ~rst, hav~g submitted to the City Recorder ~ application In due fo~ <br />for a license to ope~at~ a ~etor bus ove~ a p~osed route witch She city q~d~ <br />the n~e of Gorst ~d King Inc., She City Recorder referred the matte~ to the coun- <br />~11 for determination.
