<br /> ~b~d ~hereas the use of the s~reebs of the City of Eugene have been turned over
<br />to a com~,~i~te~ promoting an4 handling said ce~ebratio~, and particularly Willamette
<br />Street as it runs through the business portion of saii City is to b~ used largely i~
<br />promoting .~ai.~i celebration and the various plans for entertainment, therefore.

<br /> BE IT .~SOLVFO BY THE CfTY 0~' EUGk-NE, ~hat the street cae line as operated fron
<br />llth, Avenue to ~th. Avenue In the City of ~gene shall be discontinued for such
<br />period of two days, and the Southern Paolfi~ Company shall run in lieu thereof
<br />busses ov~'~ :~i4 route, and It ls understood and agreed that the discontinuation
<br />of said street ca~ operation and the substitution of busses therefor shall not in
<br />an~ise impair or change the franchise for the use of ~aid street heretofore grant-
<br />ed to.the Southern Pacific Company ampi their p~edeeessors in interest.
