On motion such report was ~opted <br />and the M~yor and Recorde~ere Instructed to enter into a oontrac~ with such <br />successful bidder for such contr~% work. <br /> <br /> This being the date set to hear.protests for the px~posed assessing of <br />Adams Street from llth to 13th Avenues, protests were called for and none made. <br /> <br /> A petition was received to pave Washington Street from S.P. Right of way <br />to llth Avenue. The name was referred to the Street Committee for report. It <br />recommended the petition be granted. On motion such report w~s adopted. <br /> <br /> A petition was received to grade and gravel the alley between l~th and llth <br />Avenues from Jackson to Van Buren Streets. The s~ne was referred To the Street <br />Committee for report. It ree,ommended the petition be granted. On motion such <br />report was adopted. <br /> <br /> A petition was received to pave 0live Street from 13th to l§th Avenues. <br />The same was referred to the Street Committee for report. It recommended the <br />petition be gran~ ed. On motion such report was alopted. <br /> <br /> A petition was received to pave Ferry Street bet ween 12th and 13th Aves. <br />The same was referred to the Street Co~aittee. Such committee recommended it <br />be sent back to the petitioners to see if it could not be amended to read <br />from ltth to l~th Avenues, On motion such report was ~topted. <br /> <br /> A petition was received to pave University Ave. from the end of the pave- <br />meat at 2~rd Avenue south to the Masonic Cemetery. Such matter was referred to <br />the Street Committee to report at the next meeting of the CounCil. . <br /> <br /> A petition was received to pave 4th Avenue between Blair Street and Polk <br />Street. The same was referred ,o the Street Committee. It recommended the <br />Petition be granted if ProPerty owners put up a bond to cover the difference in <br />the assessed valuation of any lots on said street and the cost of paving. <br /> <br /> The proposed paving of Jefferson Street from 13th to 19th Avenues ~as <br />discussed, it being agreed the contract w~uld be let under the recent advertising <br />for bids providing the property owners put up a bond to cover the difference in <br />assessed .valuation ef any lots on said s~reet and the cost of paving. <br /> <br /> A petition was received from the U of 0 asking permission to lay ~ steam <br />heating main across certain streets and alleys In the city. The s~e was referred <br />to the Street Co~lttee. It reco~ended the petition be grated with provlsl,~ <br />the city be properly protected la its rights in the use of such streets ~d <br />alleys. <br /> <br /> J.A.
