A letter was received from J.T. Fellows asking permission to leave his oil <br />tank on the parking. On motion such matter was rejected. <br /> <br /> A petition was reee.lved from F.J.Grayum for an adjustment on a certain piece <br />of his property. On motion, such matter was referred to the Street Committee and <br />the City Engineer to report. <br /> <br /> The following resolution was read and, on motion, unanimously adopted: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION. <br /> <br /> Resolved that the figures submitted by the City Engineer correcting the <br />following 0rdlnaaces be embodied in such ordinances and that. notices be sent out <br />to all property owners where the assessments have been changed, as follows, to-wit: <br /> <br /> #4989-Nineteenth Avenue east from Fairmount Blvd. to Hilyard St. <br /># 5289-Jackson Street from llt~ Avenue to. 12th Avenue. <br /> #§291-Adams Street from llth Avenue to l~th Avenue. <br /> ~5058-~en.y-second Avenue from University te Co~umbla Street. <br /> ~016-Nlnth Avenue from the We~t margin of Monroe Street to the <br /> East margin e:f Van ~ren Street. <br /> ~5164-1~th Avenue from Monroe Street te the east line ef Ad~s Street. <br /> <br />The following resolution was read, and on motion,' unanimously adopted: <br /> iR ES 0 L U T I 0 N . <br /> <br /> Whereas it appears to the ,Common Council of the City of Eugene that Lot 7, <br />B~ock 4, of Maplecroft Addition excepting, the West 60 feet thereof, has been deed, <br />ed to Marian J. Fleld, and in sa:id deed it is provided that the said Marian R Field <br />e~pressly assumes end agrees to pay the street assessments against said Lot 7, ., <br />Bl,~ck 4, excepting the West 60 feet thereof, <br /> <br /> And it is further appearing that the Wes~ 60 feet of said Lot 7, Block ~, has <br />been deeded to other parties and it is the purpose and intention of all parties <br />to said transaction that the said West,60 feet of Lot 7, Block ~, should be released <br />from the lien for said street assessment and it further appearing to the council <br />that the portion of Lo~t 7, Block 4, upon which the lien remains has a valuable <br />4welling house upon it and is ample securlt2 for the said lien, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ffESOLVED BY THE CITY OF EUGENE: <br /> ~ That the West 60 f~et of Lot 7, B~ock 4, Maplecroft Addition to the City of <br />.~gene, Oregon, be and the sa~e is hereby released fr~m the lien of the City for <br />paving the street abutting upon said lot. ' <br /> <br />The City Treasurer is hereby directed to discharge .the same of record. <br /> <br />I am the owner of the portion of the lot upon which the assessment remalns, and I <br />agree to the assessment being wholly placed upon ~y property, and hereby agree to <br />pay it. <br /> <br /> Marion Field. <br />Eugene, Oregon, Ju~y 12, 1926. <br /> <br /> The Street Committee recommended sidewalks be built on both sides of 20th <br />Avenue fr,m Agate te University Streets. 0n motion, such recommendation was <br />approved. <br /> <br /> The Street Committee recommended the 01ty ~hgineer prepare plans and specifica- <br />tions for the construction of a bridge across the ~azon on 19th Avenue. 0n motion <br />such reco~emdatlon w~ approved. <br /> <br /> The Street Commlbtee also .recommended sidewalks be built on south Willamette <br />Street before school starts. <br /> <br /> After discussion the City RecoRder w~s directed to advertise for bid~ forthe <br />sale of the City's lot on Willamette Street near the Anazon. <br /> <br /> An Ordinance to assess Adams Street from llth te l~th ~enueS, having been <br />read the 1st time on June 28th,15f26, 'and n.~tlces of protests given, and the City <br />having in the meantime changed its Charter requiring changes in the amounts of <br />money to be assessed against Certain properties along said street, it was again. <br />read as a first reading ~amd laid over and add'lt'lonal notices ordered given to the <br />owners of those properties whose proposed amounts are changed. <br /> <br /> <br />
