A petition was~ received to open the alley between loth and llth Avenues west of <br />Van Buren Street. The same was referred to the street Committee which recommended <br />plans be prepared for such purpose. On motion such reco~m~endatlon was approve.d. <br />In connection therewith the followMg resolution was offered and ~opted: <br /> <br />NFSOLUTION F0~ OPENING THE ALBEY BETWEEN 10TH AND llTH' <br /> AVFN1;ES WFST TO VAN BUPEN STREE'~. <br /> <br /> RE~0LVE0; That the Co~.~om Council of the CitY 'of Eugene, Oregon deems it <br />expedient and necessary to open, lay out and establish the ~ leY between 10th <br />and llth Avenues west to Va~ B~ren Street, and that the CitA ~gineer be and ls <br />directed to m~e a survey of the s~e to mark the boundaries ther~f, to make <br />a Plat thereof and make a~ file a written rep~r~ ~ntaining a full ~d complete <br />d4seription of such street and i~ boundaries, and of the portions of e~ch lot <br />part of lots or tract of land to be ~proprlated therefor, <br /> <br /> An Ordinance levYing .assessments for paving Charnelton ~treet from 17th to <br />24th Avenues, was re~t the first time and laid over. <br /> <br /> An Ordinance levYing assessments fSr paving Washington Street fromllth to <br />l~th Avenues, was read the first ti~e and la id over. <br /> <br /> An Ordinance to improve 19th Avenue from HilYard Street to Wlll~mette Street <br />bY paving the same,was read the first time and passed its second and third readings <br />bY title bY unanimous consent under suspension of the mle and 'was placed on its <br />final passage. The aYes and naYs were called, all present voting aYe. naY none. <br />The Ordinance was deelaredpassed and numbered 5065. <br /> <br /> An Ordinance approving and adopting the plans .:nd specifications of the CitY <br />Engineer for the improvement of l~th Avenue from HllYard to Willamette Streets, <br />was read the first time and pas-~ed its second and ,third readings bY title bY'unani- <br />mous consent under suspension of the rule and was placed on its final passage.
