<br /> Minutes of the adjourned meeting of the Common Council held October 13th,
<br />1925, at 7;30.o~01ock P.M. Meeting called to or. der by Mayor E.B.Parks, all mem-
<br />bers of the Council present, except Washburne, Lamb and ~ugh absent. Minutes of
<br />the meetings of Sept. D4th, and Sept 28th, 1925, read and approved.

<br /> F.E. Morton appeared before the Council and stated a party h~d dug a ditch
<br />along the parking at 2011 Falrmount Blvd. which ditch was uncovered. Said matter
<br />was referred to the Sewer Committee for attention.
<br />
<br /> , Messrs..Larawa¥, Ludford, Schaefers and others 'appeared befor~e the council
<br />and asked that action be taken for pavin.~ the alley in the rear of their places
<br />of business between Willamette and Olive Streets from gib Avenue southk which alley
<br />had been cut for sewer amd telephone service. Such matter was referred to the
<br />Street Committee, and after discussion it recommended the cut parts of said alley
<br />be re-paved and such pavement, continued, south to llth Avenue. On motion such
<br />report was unanimo,usl¥ adopted.

<br /> Wade Albro, appeared and as:keri that two sidewalks be constructed on 9th Ave-
<br />nue b'etween Jackson and Van Buren Streets. Said matter was referred to the
<br />S_tr e et Committee.
<br />
<br />As per the call, bids were op.ened for p.aving 19th Avenue from ~alrmount ~lvd.

<br />to Nllyard Street, as follows:

<br />Said matter was Referred to the Street Committee for rePort, and the Chairman
<br />thereof, recommended that all bids be rejected. Such matter was put to a vote
<br />by roll call as follows: Monroe voting "aye", Simmons, W llliamson, large, and
<br />MoCullY "nay". Absent and not voting Washburne, lamb and Rugh. Such recO mmendatlon
<br />was declared deferred to a meeting of the Council to be held Friday, October 16th,
<br />1925, at 4;00 o~olock P.M.

<br /> As per the call, bids were opened for paving 19th AVenue from Hllyard Street to
<br /> Will,matte Street, as follows:

<br /> Said matter was referred to the Street Committee for report, and the Chairman
<br /> thereof, recommended that all bids.be rejected. Such matter was put to a vote

<br /> ~,tMcCuLI~v voting "nay". Absent and not voting Washburne, Lamb and Rugh. Such
<br /> recommendation was declared lost, It was then moved and~nanlmousl¥ carried that
<br /> said bids be deferred to a meeting of the Council to be held Friday October 16th,
<br /> 1925 at 4;00 o~clock P.M.

<br /> As per the call bids were opened for the construction of a sewer beginning at
<br /> the manhole in Polk Street at the intersection of Creep Street, thence west to
<br /> North line of Nallroad Blvd., as follows:
