An Ordinance levying asse,~sments for laying a sewer l&~ feet west of Potter <br />St. from 24th to 25th Aves., having been read the first time January 24th, 1927, <br />and registered notice given, and all Protests overruled, it Passe,1 its second <br />and. third re~_tings by title by unanimous consent under sue.Pension of the rule and <br />was placed on its. final pas.~ag:e. The ayes and nays were called, all pr.esent vot- <br />ing aye. Nay none. The Ordinance was declared passed a~d numbered 58~8. <br /> <br />On motion, the following resolution was offered and unanimously adopted: <br /> <br />~.ES 0 LU T I 0 N . <br /> <br /> Be It l~esoLved by the Common Council of ~he City of ~gene that the City of <br />Eugene shall excavate two feet below 'the present bottom of the Amazon ditch from <br />its intersection with 20th Avenue. east to its intersection wltb Willamette <br />Street. <br /> <br /> Be It i~urth.er ~esolved, that the City Engineer immediately prepare plans <br />and specifications for such lmpi'ovement work, and th,~ City Recorder advertise <br />for c.~mpetltlve bids for such improvement work. <br /> <br /> Be It further resolved, that the sal[i work be done by the City, and that <br />the same be paid for from the Trunk Sewer 2und. <br /> <br />On motion, the following resolution was offered and unanimously adopted: <br /> <br />R E S 0 L U T I 0 ~[ <br /> <br />For the Opef~in~ Of 20th Avenue from Wiilsmette Street to Mill Street, in <br /> 21~gene, 0 r egon. <br /> <br /> Be It ?esolved that the Comr~on Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon, deems <br />it expedient and necessary to open lay out and establish 2O'th Avenue from <br />Willamette Street to Mlll Street in the City of Eugene, <br /> <br /> Be It 2urther resolved, that the City ~glneer be ~nd he is hereby directed <br />to make a survey of 20th Avenue from Wlllsmett~ Street to Mill Street and to <br />mark the boundaries thereof, make a plat tcereof, andmake ~nd file a.wrltten <br />report containing a full and complete description of such street and its <br />b~undarles, and all the p.ortlons of ..such lots parts of lots or tracts of land to <br />be appropriate! therefor, and file such survey and report~\vlth the City ~wecorder <br />of the City of Et~gene, .within20 days from the date of this resolution. <br /> <br />On motlcn, the following resolution was offere~ and unanlmou.sly adopted: <br /> <br />.R ES 0 L U T I O N . <br /> <br /> Be It ResoLved by the Common Coun ~il of the city of Dlgene that t.he City of <br />E~gene build a storm sewer.on the ~ast of Walnut Street from l~th ·Avenue to the <br />Southern Pacific Might of way, thence east 309 f~et. <br /> <br /> Be It i~urther resolved that the City Engineer imme'llately Prepare plans <br />and specifications for such improvement work and the City Recorder advertise <br /> W <br />for competitive bids for such improvement <br /> <br /> Be It further resolved that the said work be done by the City and that the <br />same be paid for from the sewer fund., <br /> <br />On motion, the following resolution was offered and unanimously adopted: <br /> <br /> R E S 0 L U T I.O N . <br /> / , <br /> Whereas, One Owen, the owne of aL1 of Lot 1, Block2, John Christian~ <br /> Ad41tion to the City of ~gene, Co'u2ty of Lane and State of Oregon, excepting <br /> the west 70 feet -there of, has acknowledged upon.the records of the Treasurer <br /> ~f the City of E~]gene, that his portion of said lot is the exclusive holder <br />/.'for thepaving assessment of Pearl Street, and <br /> Whereas Kathryn M Wllklns is the owner of the west 70 feet of Lot l, Blbek <br /> 2 Christian's Additlon to the City of D]gene County of Lane and State of Oregon, <br /> and <br /> <br /> Whereas, the assumption by the said Owen ~ f said paving assessment infull <br />exonerates the west 70 feet of said lot, and <br /> <br /> Whereas, the value of said Owen ~J~operty is in excess of $3500.00 and <br />such security is ample for the paving of the C~ty's assessment. <br /> <br /> <br />
