<br /> An Ordinance granting to Southern-Pacific Company its successors and
<br /> assigns, the .exclusive franchise, right an4 privilege to operate passenger
<br /> busses upon and along the .~treets, avenues, thoroughfares and Public Highways
<br /> i~ the City of Ehgene, st~te of Oregon, for the PurPose of conducting aa urban
<br /> passenger bus business, and providing terms provisions and restrictions sub-
<br /> jeer to which the said operations of said grantee un,let said franchise shall
<br /> be exercised, having been read the fl~t time on A~{ust 22-,1927, and read the
<br /> second time on September 12, 1927' and a final hearing thereon act for 7;30
<br /> o~clock P.M. on September 14,1927, due notice of such hearing w~ given the
<br /> people of the cl*,y by publication thereof in the issues of the Ehgene Guard
<br /> under dates, of Aug. 25, Aug. 30, Sept. 6th and Sept. 13th, 1927, respectively.
<br /> At the time and'Place set for such final hearing no one appearing to protests
<br /> to the fine1 passage of ~edel Ordinance, it was read the ~hlrd 5~e ~ld placed

<br />~t'h Ave. from Oak to Olive be closed to parking after 6;00 P.M. and all traffic
<br />suspended from 7;00 to 10;00 o~elock P N. on Mond~ Sept. 26,1~27, during the
<br />Fall Style Festival. 0n motion such petition was grated.
