Co~anittee reports were called for:- The Judiciary Committee reported favorably ou the changing of the~name of 9th Avenue' from the West City Llml~s 'to ?ranklln Blvd,, to Broadway and after hearing ?red hudford and Lynn NoC~eady o~ such matter, such report was unani- mously a,~opt ed. ' The Judiciary Committee presented an Ordinance based on the Petition to regulate carnivals snd other tra{~elllng shows whloh ordinance is, for the regulatio~ of eircus~s, menagerlss, carnivalS, tent shows ~d othe~ dui door ~usements an,l enterbalmne~ts conduot~i ~or profit and said ordinance w~ laid over an,l referred to the Judlel~y Co~mnittee and C~by Attorney. The ~tnance Co~um~ittee recommended the following estknates for street i~provement be allowed: ' Stle~ Bros. 23r~ Ave. from ~ald ~o Col~bia Sts. $~630.~1. W.W. He~i Const. Co., 2erry St. from I~th to 15'th Aves' $5165.42 8soar Snow., sewer between 19th ~d 20th from Willy,tie to Oak Sis. $605.00. Hargreaves and 5inds~, alley on 16th Ave. bet. 51nool~ and Lawrence sis. $ o55.4z. ' Stiea Bros., alley bet. Pe~l ~d High Sis. frdm 12th to 13th Aves., W.W. Eead Const. Co., 9th Ave. from V~ Burea to Tyle~ Sis., $2726.55. On roll call ~ueh report was u~lmously The Stree~ Co~unittee teach,mended the petition to grade and gravel ~_5th Avenue West of University Avenue about 150 feet, be granted. On ~otion such report wa~ adopted. The Street Committee recommended the petition to build a walk about ~00 feet long on the North sid~ of Cross Street from Polk Street West be grant,d, but t'hat the Petition to grade and gravel said 9t~eet from Po~k Street .to Railroad Blvd be denied for leek of sufficient petitioners. On motion such report was unanimously adopted. The Street Cmmulttee reported it is not resiy to report on the petition to grade and gravel the alley' between i.~:m,~rald and Onyx Sis. from 22nd to 23rd Av ~nU es o The Street Committee ~eported the walks petttione<l for by Robert Merrell near B'~lrmcunt Blvd., have been taken care The Street Co~m~ittee reported favorably on the petition to pave 2nd Ave- nue from Van Buren Street to Blair Blvd., On motion such report was adopted. The Fire and Water, Police and Print'lng Committees had no report to make. The Health{ Committee reported on the Comfort Station and moved the Clt2 Attorney set a date and notify the contractor such bulldlng must be done by that date. Said motion was seconded and, on motion, unanimously carried. 'The Heslt',.~ Con~lttee reported It is not ready to recommend names for election to the Playground 'Co~m~lsslon. .The Health{ Com~nlttee reported on the condition of the sewer on 15th' Avenue near Hll.~ard Str.ee.t ~nd called on Professor Parsons, who spoke on the matter.
